Say What?!

I recently went to my second trimester "big" ultrasound....scary! The tech was ALL business! She pushed, prodded, looked, typed, and made odd facial expressions while looking at my little one on the screen. There was NO talking or question asking until the end.
Here is an overview of the appointment:
Yes! We are having a boy!
His organs looked good!
We have a new due date...June 24th!

Say What?! This isn't possible! She moved the due date up 11 days! The best part about that announcement was the look on my mom's face. Priceless. My sister is due June 23rd! The tech said the baby's organs are measuring at 22 weeks 4 days (23 weeks today), while we were thinking 21 weeks. This means A) Our due date was incorrect from the beginning or B) We have a BIG boy! Funny thing is...it is probably option B! By my calculation there is NO WAY we are 23 weeks! So, we are still thinking we are on track for a July baby...we will stick with that until he comes early! Craziness!!

In other baby news:
We bought a stroller and carseat! Although, I am reconsidering the stroller purchase because I think I found a different one I like better. I will keep you updated! Here is a picture of Elsie in the stroller...yes, we have become those people :-)

Week 21wk 3 day/23wk belly pic....I have tried to wear the same shirt for each pic...but I am going to be changing it up!

We also just received a jogging stroller! Yea for friends! They are wonderful people and know I like to run! Thank you to the Sheltons (blog here)for being so generous and thinking of us! We love it!

Move #3

Two weekends ago we moved yet again! We moved to a larger apartment in the same complex to accommodate for our growing family. We are now residing in a one bedroom with a loft. Another added bonus is our garage...so much MORE storage...yeah!!! Originally we were discussing rooming baby in the loft, but as I mess around the apartment during the day I am beginning to realize how LOUD I am! So, Jared and I may end up in the loft and give baby boy the bedroom...we are still talking.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who helped or offered to help us move! You were wonderful and amazingly quick!

Front door is to the right....I am standing in our family room area looking at the kitchen. The bedroom and bathroom are to my right.

Here I am standing by our dinner table with the loft above me. I am looking at the family room and deck.

Brag Time

This is a video of a former student of mine! Not that her wondeful 4th grade teacher (me!) had anything to do with her singing, but I must brag because she was one of mine! I taught with her mom...hi Karen!...so I feel even closer to this young lady!

Mallorie is in the 6th grade and is performing the role of Jasmine in her school play Aladdin! She is a talented singer and actor! This is a clip of the song "A Whole New World". Enjoy the show...

Way to go Mallorie!!

week 20

We have officially hit the half way point! I have grown some, but baby boy awesome has grown a lot! He is moving all the time; Elsie has been kicked (hit, head butted, whatever he's doing) and Jared has finally been able to feel him. It's funny, every time baby boy moved (a lot of continuous movement) I would call Jared over to feel and the instant he would put his hand on my stomach the baby would stop moving! This happened SEVERAL times before Jared was able to feel....the baby has Jared's sense of humor!

Those shorts will probably no longer be worn...a little snug!

We have our big 20 week ultrasound this upcoming Monday. The practitioner will be checking the baby's growth and health.

Jared and I haven't been able to resist the urges to buy our son some clothes! We saw these items and fell in love. The white hat with planes on it was given to baby from our friends Megan and George! Thank you guys! I know baby boy will love it!
