This is a common phrase uttered by ALL in our house lately. More and more the person voicing these words is Elliot. I think he actually is starting to understand its use too. He will go up to things he knows he isn’t suppose to touch and will say “no, no”. He also tells Jared and I “no, no” when we try to take something from him (he will even offer that something, then pull it away saying “no, no”)…he is becoming such a stink! Speaking of stink….my baby is starting to smell more and more like a stinky little boy
. You know, the smell that wafts into the classroom when everyone comes back in from gym or recess. So sad.
Since it has been a while since my last post a lot has changed. My cousin got married (post to come), by best friend turned 30 (Happy Birthday Becky!), Elsie is off her meds (she has anxiety, but we are working on it), we signed a lease for a 2 bedroom apartment (will move the day before we leave for Oklahoma), and I am finally unpacked from our move (only to start packing again in a few weeks)! But the BIGGEST changes have happened with Elliot. He is starting to “talk”…when I say talk I mean is babblings sound more purposeful. He can say ball, dog, all done, hi, bye bye, no, and has said (only once) shoe and baby. He is also currently obsessed with cars aka “go-go” and balls. If you come to visit bring a helmet because Elliot has learned to throw and has quite an arm. He has also learned that he can jump (well he tries). Elliot runs everywhere and likes to hide from Jared and I , only to burst out laughing when we act like we can’t see him.
Jared is doing well. He is working at the clinic in his school. He is being used as free labor, so unfortunately he is gone a lot. We will be going to Boston next week for the Optometry Academy, where Jared will be presented with a scholarship! Once we are back he will only have a week before he flies to North Carolina to take Boards III (Boards II will be at the end of November).
We have done some fun things since we have been back! The beach of course. Elliot wasn’t too sure of the ocean at first, but loved the sand the second he put his foot in it! Elliot has also rediscovered his cozy coupe….love at first sight. He sees it and says very enthusiastically “go go, go go, go go”!

We were also able to go to the Chargers v. Chiefs game in San Diego. The first half of the game was a struggle trying to entertain Elliot until we discovered his love for frozen lemonade.
