Elliot is changing and growing so fast. I missed his 6 month post, so I have a lot of updating to do.
Over Christmas Elliot got his two front bottom teeth. He is sitting up really well and is finally rolling! He can roll from back to stomach and stomach to back. He seems to like this new mobility. He isn’t crawling yet, but has that look that says he’s ready to move. He has started using my hands and legs as platforms and pushes off of them to scoot across the floor. Elliot’s new toy fascination are balls. He likes it when you roll them to him. He has also started attaching to a bunny and blankey when he sleeps. Its cute…we will watch him on the monitor reach for both items and pull them over his face. Elliot’s personality is really starting to come through. He is such a happy guy and a big flirt (he does this head turn and big smile when he is engaging with someone). He has started talking a bit more (babababa, bobobob, momomom (love this one)). He also went through (and my fingers are crossed it’s over) a week long phase of screaming. He wasn’t in pain, or upset, he just screamed, screeched, and squealed. It was loud!
Our days have finally taken on a more routine schedule. Elliot seems to be down to 2 naps. Both of which vary in length from 45min – 2hours. This is a huge change from those 3-4 30 min. naps. He is also down to only nursing 4 times a day (yeah!) and eating solids twice a day. We went though a phase where he refused to eat any type of cereal, mixed with other foods or not, but have finally gotten over that dislike. He has cereal (disguised with fruit) in the morning and a veggie and fruit in the afternoon. This past month Elliot and I have been doing a gymboree class (thanks to Groupons). Classes are 45 min daily and we can go as often as we would like. This has been fun because he is interacting with other babies, we sing, dance, and do activities which are helping him learn.
Elliot is interacting with us more, he plays with his toys, he loves the T.V. (which has forced us to turn it off more often), he is very interested in Elsie and watching her at all times. Elliot has a beautiful smile and laughs a lot.
