He’s a Doctor!

Jared graduated (with honors)!  He is a Doctor of Optometry! On May 25th Jared walked across the stage and got his hood.  He was supported in person by Jason (bro), Courtney, Solomon, Jenny (sis), Josh, and his parents Brent and Liz, and supported afar from all of you!  Thank you everyone! Jared has felt so loved the past few weeks! I am so proud of you Jared! Way to go!

Week 19 bump

wk 19

Had our “big 20 week” ultrasound today.  This ultrasound is not very informative until we have our next doctors appointment (the techs don’t tell you anything).  From what Jared was able to decipher from the screen and measurements the tech was taking, baby boy is appropriate size, if not larger (scary thought).  Baby boy was moving a lot! I could tell he was kind of irritating the tech, but honestly when someone pushes you isn’t it instinct to move out of the way? Well, I consider my little man to be highly intelligent and he was just moving out of the way :) All is well on the pregnancy front.  Been loving fruit, some desserts, and veggie sandwiches! We have been discussing names on almost a daily basis and have it narrowed down to about 7. By next week I’d like to have our top 4! Cute Elliot moment: Today we asked him where the baby was.  He knows it is in my tummy, but he wasn’t content pointing to my stomach.  He INSISTED on lifting up my shirt…this would have been cute had we not been waiting in line for a ride at Disneyland!

Speaking of big brother.  We spent the day at Disneyland and Elliot crashed once we got in the car….such a cute sleeper!  We then headed to the park for a picnic with other optometry families.  Elliot decided to roll around in the dirt on the baseball field (literally)!

Mother’s Day and more

Mother’s Day was very special this year.  I was treated to stuffed french toast made by my wonderful husband.  Jared then organized a craft with Elliot and managed to keep the paint under control :) Later,  we went shopping and bought our littlest one (baby #2) some welcome to the world shirts.  After a fun busy day, we enjoyed dinner at Cheesecake Factory…and because it was Mother’s Day I got to choose the eats.  My pregnant self was craving an assortment of small plates…quite the combination! Sunday was a great day that I got to spend with the two I love most.  Thank you, you two for making me feel so special!

We have been able to play at Disneyland lately and enjoy some Yogurtland on those hot days!

We went to the Farmers Market this past week and Elliot discovered the fountains! We enjoyed being able to sit, listen to music, and watch Elliot have fun.  This is going to be come a weekly occurrence.

We transferred “beans” from an old bean bag into Elliot’s new one.  And had WAY to much fun doing it!

Elliot went to his first movie! We have dollar theaters near us and they were showing The Lorax.  So, we gave the movies a try and were successful! Elliot did a wonderful job sitting for the first hour, then got a little antsy, but was bribed with popcorn and apples :) We were joined by Elliot’s friend London! They were too cute on their first movie date!
