Even veggies need thunder and lightening
It's sad that the only thunder and lightening I get to see now a days is in the grocery store! When I want to feel a little closer to home I can go and stand by the veggies in the produce isle and wait for the rain to come. I am talking about the misters that shower the veggies, but I have recently noticed the added thunder sound effect and the flickering lights of lightening...ahhh...home!

Christmas with both sides of the family
Just after our arrival into town I got to see my friends!
Christmas Eve was spent at my sister's house with family. Jared's parents were even able to join us. We spent the first part of the evening sacking and visiting and the last part getting our wii fit ages.
My mom helped me decorate cupccakes...yes...it took a while
Grandma, Allison, Julie, and David (cousins)
Christmas with the in-laws was celebrated Friday when Jason, Courtney, Jenny, and Josh arrived in town. We went to my favorite restaurant, Sol Azteca, for dinner, then home for chatting and gifting!
Jar's B-day
Sorry for the lack of posting...being sick and traveling for 2 weeks has really put me behind. I told myself I wouldn't back blog, but here goes (shortened version of events).
Jared's Birthday:
He's 28!
Elsie gave Jared Mario Cart for his birthday!
I couldn't resist making him eyes for his birthday dessert....not my best work, but pretty tasty!
Christmas at Disneyland....yes we went again...

Oh yes... Earthquake #3
You may be sick of reading about it in my blog, but it definitely isn't getting old around here. Yes again, southern California was shaken up. Tonight around 8:00 pm a 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit. The epicenter was in San Bernadino about 35 miles away (as the crow flies). It wasn't too bad here, I was comfy in bed and noticed the TV starting to dance. Jared was studying with a friend in the dining room. They felt it a little more out there.
Now I know your typical Californian wouldn't ever blog about an earthquake, but Jared and I sure can't get used to these. It is the most bizarre feeling ever...

Earthquake #2
Yes folks, another earthquake. This one doesn't even compare to our first one... this one was so minute that Jared didn't feel it.
We were getting ready for a Christmas party Friday evening. We were suppose to be picked up at 8:15, but were running late. I was sitting at the desk when it swayed back and forth with rattling desk supplies. I rocked in my chair ever so slightly. I hollered to Jared and asked if he felt it. He told me I was crazy :-(
Saturday, while watching the news my suspicions were confirmed! An earthquake of a 5.1 magnitude occurred about 140 miles away! And I felt it! It occurred at 8:18pm Friday evening. No worries...we are fine.
