everyone should have it this good

Not one day, but an entire week! That is how fabulous my 30th birthday celebration was…thanks to my friends, family, and hubby. How is all started:

Jared started by surprising me with a birthday evening before the actual day. He took me to a delicious small Italian restaurant in Santa Monica and then to The Santa Monica Pier. We rode the ferris wheel and walked the board walk. This was a great surprise because Santa Monica was on my “must visit list” before we depart California. Sunday morning Elliot gave me a gift all his own by sleeping in until 8! After I fed him, my wonderful husband took charge while I went back to bed Smile . I was treated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a lazy day! Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Later that week my amazing friends, Megan, Becky, Erin, and Erin came to visit! How fabulous are they?! They kept me busy and made the weekend wonderful. They were just what I needed (I needed a pick me up). Along with some fun evenings at home, we made it out one evening for dinner and drinks. Thanks to Jared and his wonderful fatherly skills we were able to do a lot while he watched Elliot. We went on a hike at Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach. It was quite the hike (we started out planning on a 3 mile mild walk, but it turned into a 5 mile, up hill hike…thanks girls Smile), but it was beautiful! With Jared as our driver and babysitter we also went wine tasting in Temecula. Megan got her Almond Champagne, so all is well with the world!

This birthday was amazing and made turning 30 something I wish I could do every week! Thank you to everyone for making this so special. Love you Jar.

plans for today

What are my plans for today?  I will be following my dog around with a pie pan trying to catch her pee.  Fun for me!  Life is always interesting with an animal.  What are you doing?

Little buns

Elliot has changed so much in the past couple of weeks.  He laughs constantly, he grabs at everything, and is now exploring his high pitched sing-songy voice! He is too stinkin’ cute :)

Now that the blog is private I feel comfortable posting his cute little buns for all to see!  Last night during bath time Elliot tried with all his might to sit up (the tub has him at an angle).  With a little help from Daddy, Elliot managed to grab the rim at the back of the tub.  He then proceeded to pull himself to it so he could chew (or gum) it a bit.  After a bit of chewing he realized he had gotten himself stuck, so again Daddy jumped in to help.

that lovely little voice

**REMINDER** I’m making my blog private so, if you would like to be able to access it please click here.

Elliot’s recently stopped talking and started groaning.  We will often hear this after we put him down for bed (Jared and I sit and laugh while listening to the monitor).

The video is a little crazy because I was trying to capture this moment without Elliot spotting the camera (he usually stop what he is doing once he spots it). He is also sitting in his bouncer, so all the movement is from that.

My Halloween Hunks

This year we celebrated Halloween by trick-or-treating at Jared’s school. Of course, the candy gathering was for mom and dad, but the attention getting was for Elliot.  We dressed E and Jared up as Chippendale  (yes, this is how it is spelled) dancers! I know. Cute!

We wrapped E up in a fleece blanket I made to keep his cuteness warm. And Jared wore a shirt and robe that stayed ON the entire time! The best part was E’s dancing! We had our ipod and speakers with us and played music as E grooved :)

Enjoy viewing my hunks :)
