For 4th of July weekend we met Jared’s parents in Ruidoso. On the first day we packed ourselves in the car and went to White Sands National Monument. The sand dunes stretched as far as you could see with the mountains as a back drop. It was amazing how fine and white the sand was. Elliot was in heaven, playing with, throwing, and eating the sand. Tears were shed when we had to leave. From there we went to The Lodge at Cloudcroft. It is in a mountain town, celebrating 100 years and had a beautiful view over looking White Sands. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and eating. Unfortunately, due to the fact that New Mexico is on fire there weren’t any fireworks in many of the cities Nevertheless, we had a great fourth of July!
Elliot opening his presents from Grandma and Grandpa J. Grandma hand pieced this beautiful quilt for mister E.

Holy moly! That sand looks so nice, I want to visit there! Looks like you guys are getting spoiled with visitors! I bet E is LOVING it!
Elliot looks thrilled to be playing in the sand! How much fun that must have been. We had great fireworks in Mac - some of Jeanie's neighbors spent way too much money and we got to enjoy the show.
Goodness, you've had some company fun! You know that means no you're closer to coming back to Fullerton! :) Glad you're enjoying NM though!
